Product Spotlight - Atise Soy Tealights and Votives

The majority of candles on the market are made out of paraffin, a petroleum-based product. Atise is proud to offer a genuine alternative to paraffin wax candles. Our beautiful selections of hand-crafted fragrant candles are made from 100% natural wax and are free of added colour and paraffin.

The healthy way to illuminate your life The soy wax used in Atise Tealight candles comes from sustainable and renewable agricultural sources, an environmentally preferable alternative to paraffin. Due to the low melting point of Atise soy candles, fragrances are released into the air sooner, and they last longer.

About Soy Wax Farm grown soybeans are crushed to separate the soybean meal from soybean oil. 100kgs of soybeans yields approximately 81.5kgs of soy meal and 18.5 kgs of soybean oil. The soy meal contains the protein content of the soybean, so is processed into foods for human consumption such as soy milk, tofu and meat substitutes used in food like veggie burgers. The remainder of the soy meal is used in animal feeds. The soybean oil can then be made into soy wax by a process of partial hydrogenation.

Votive Candle Tips Soy wax is water soluble and can be easily cleaned from glass, metal, cloth and other material. Place a teaspoon of water in the votive glass holder before inserting the votive candle as this will assist in the easy removal of any wax residue.
